The way we treat our rubbish from reducing what we throw away in the first place, re-using things to keep them in circulation, and recycling in the right place - all have an impact on our environment.
We are calling on all Suffolk schools and groups to help us raise awareness of the importance of putting our waste in the right place, to help protect our environment and increase biodiversity in Suffolk.
We are asking schools and groups to make large scale artwork using recycled materials, to make a fabulous display for the Suffolk Recycles stand at the Suffolk Show!
What should we make?
It’s a broad brief so you can choose what to make - anything that celebrates the beautiful outdoors, from bee friendly plants, trees, birds, bees, insects, fungi, butterflies and other Suffolk wildlife. The inspiration is all on your doorstep (or even in your school playing field)! Just think about your favourite things in nature such as parks, beaches, forests, rivers, lakes and fields and the wildlife they’re home to.
What's the deadline?
Please let us know whether you will be taking part and what you will be making no later than 25 April 2025.
The deadline for getting the artwork to us is 9 May 2025.
