Site rules, what to bring & charges

Read the site rules, find out what you can and can't bring, and see charges for plasterboard and hardcore, rubble and soil.

Re-use

We accept charitable donations to the re-use (orange) containers at all sites. Check which items are accepted (PDF), like good condition furniture, electrical items, bicycles, and bric-a-brac.

Ipswich Re-use Shop sells items which have been donated for re-use at Suffolk Recycling Centres. This is located at Foxhall Road, Brightwell, Ipswich, IP10 0HT.

Trade waste

Traders carrying waste and recycling from any business operation must pay for their waste. This includes waste that originated from a domestic property. Find out about the charges and paperwork required.

Charity or schools waste

Charities and schools are permitted to bring in their waste free of charge if it originated from a schools or domestic household donation. Only recyclable items are permitted at Recycling Centres. Read our charity and schools waste page for advice, guidance on paperwork needed and how to dispose of non-recyclable items.

Buy compost

You can buy 25 litre bags of high quality soil-improver from recycling centres for £2.50 each. The soil improver is made from garden waste which is processed at a compost facility in the county.
