What Happens to Your Recycling?
A new video shows the journey of your recycling after it is collected from your home. It follows the collection lorries arriving at the Materials Recycling Facility(MRF) in Gt Blakenham, through all the separating and sorting processes, until it is ready for baling and loading to be sent on for processing into recycled products.
If you are interested to find out more about what happens to your recycling after it is collected from your door, the video offers a fascinating insight into the MRF, since major improvements to the facility took place in 2019. Public visits are very limited, and the film gives an opportunity to see parts of the plant not usually available to the public.
